Dog Training Programs in Colorado

Our Customized, In Home Training Programs

We always tailor the in-home training programs at Mile High Dog Training to suit your dog’s needs. After all, what’s the point of having a one-on-one trainer if every dog receives the exact same education?

Every dog is different, as are every family’s needs and lifestyle. At Mile High Dog Training in Denver, Colorado, we understand and respect that. Our goal is always to establish a solid foundation of trust and respect between dogs and their owners. Good communication and listening skills will naturally follow.

Once your dog responds reliably to your commands and respects the boundaries you set, you’ll be surprised how quickly good behavior comes.

That said, there are a few problem behaviors we see more often than others. For that reason, we’ve created three areas of focus when it comes to our dog training programs.

  • Puppy Training

Our puppy training program is designed to help your new addition settle in as quickly and easily as possible. We can visit before you bring your puppy home to provide tips on how to prepare your space. We can also visit after you’ve brought your puppy home to help with introductions to the rest of the family, as well as initial training.

Is your puppy’s behavior more overwhelming than you anticipated? Mile High Dog Training can get your puppy’s house training and basic obedience skills back on track!

  • Aggressive Dog Training

This training call is the one that owners dread making, but you don’t have to! We’ve seen it all, and Mile High Dog Training is a judgment-free zone. We’re just happy you are reaching out to us instead of rehoming your pup.

Contrary to popular belief, a good trainer can resolve the problem of canine aggression.

Our in-home aggressive dog training program is designed to discover your dog’s behavioral triggers and mitigate them. We will create a training regimen that works for your dog, to help them learn how to control themselves and remain calm in the face of their triggers.

  • Cribs & Canines

Many dog owners get a bit anxious when they decide to start a family. What if their dog and the new baby don’t get along? No one wants to be in a position where they feel they must rehome their family pet because they can’t handle the changes that come with a new baby.

We’re here to make sure the transition is a smooth one. We will help you determine the boundaries you wish to set between your dog and your child, revisit basic obedience training, and address any other canine behavioral concerns you might have.

Training can take place before or after your baby’s arrival. We’re always happy to follow up if any new problems arise!
